You will need to speak to a medical doctor to assess your eligibility for a Medicare sleep test rebate. Medicare state that only patients that are considered to have a high probability for symptomatic, moderate to high risk obstructive sleep apnea based on a Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) questionnaire score of 8 or more, plus an OSA-50 questionnaire score of 5 or more, or a STOP-Bang questionnaire score of 4 or more can qualify.*

Simply book an appointment with your doctor to talk through your sleep experience and your ResMed Sleep Assessment results.

In the appointment, talk through how you sleep. Ask your doctor about your eligibility for a Medicare-rebated home sleep test. For a Medicare-rebated sleep test, you can download the referral form here and take it with you to your doctor’s appointment.

If you are eligible for a Medicare-rebated sleep test, your doctor will send the referral form to us. Alternatively, you can send the signed referral form to referrals@resmed.com.au or call us on 1800 737 633 and we will help you get started.
